TREE SEEDLINGS FOR THE MICRO-CLIMATE IN THE FCP

The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all, our most pleasing responsibility. ”Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” Warren Buffett. When trees burn, they leave the smell of heartbreak in the air. Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky. The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit. Love is like a tree, it grows of its own accord, it puts down deep roots into our whole being. I feel a great regard for trees; they represent age and beauty and the miracles of life and growth. There are more life forms in a handful of forest soil than there are people on the planet.

”A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.” Franklin D. Roosevelt. We;KE759 have created a micro- climate within our local church cum FCP that brings about tranquility thus having a conducive environment for working and feeling rejuvenated. A thing that most people; registered beneficiaries, caregivers and community members replicates in their respective homesteads. In June this year we received 6,000 tree seedlings from KenGen that we extended our generosity to other 30 FCPs in three different clusters; Kitui-Mutomo, Mwingi-Mumoni and Embu-Mwea clusters. This month on 4th of December 2020 we joyfully received 1,000 other tree seedlings from Equity Bank Mwingi Branch for our FCP to plant. Mark you we just networked with the branch manager via Miti School Program that they’re funding and we don’t bank with them. We have planted over 45,000 tree seedlings at the FCP and respective caregivers’ homesteads in this year! This total still counts for Compassion at 40 since it’s one of our major partners in Children & Youth Ministry that we do.
